Individual Services

I offer psychological support to individuals facing challenging times and/or struggling to cope with distressing feelings and emotions.

This might be in a time of crisis, or simply taking some proactive steps towards developing emotional resilience and positive mental well-being. You might have a specific goal in mind or perhaps you just feel that you are finding life difficult but are not sure why.

Individual Support

I offer 1:1 Psychological support to address mental health issues. Essentially what this means is we work together to understand what you are experiencing, identify your goals and decide how we might work together to achieve them. Individual support can be a simple assessment process, short-term therapy or longer-term therapy depending on the needs.

Emotional Well-being Many people I work with feel overwhelmed by strong feelings and this is impacting on their ability to function in life. They may not understand what is causing their mood difficulties and this may be part of the support I offer. Or perhaps they are clear about what their issues are but they would like some helpful coping strategies.

Trauma I am qualified to support individuals who may have experienced a significant traumatic event and/or feel traumatised by something (or many things) which they are yet to make sense of. Lots of people find past experiences are impacting on their current behaviour and this is something they desperately want to change.

Neurodiversity I have specialist experience in supporting individuals who have a diagnosis of ADHD, ADD, Autism Spectrum Condition, Asperger Syndrome and/or Highly Sensitive Person and are struggling with mood and behaviour problems.

How it works

Initial contact

You might have been seeking support yourself or someone else has recommended my services. The first step is to get in contact to arrange your free consultation to explore what you might want help with. This is a brief contact where we decide together whether to arrange an assessment session. I can offer alternative options if appropriate.

Initial sessions

The first couple of sessions aim to explore why you are seeking support, including goals you might already have. I will ask questions about what you are experiencing and what challenges you are facing. This is also an opportunity for you to ask more about the process.

Subsequent sessions

Should you decide to engage in a therapeutic process this will involve exploring in more detail what you are experiencing and how we might work together to reduce your distress and achieve your goals. These sessions will be 50 minutes long and can be booked in advance on a session by session basis.

The practicalities

  • Sessions are online - FaceTime, WhatsApp, Skype or Zoom.

  • Please contact me directly regarding fees and payment options.

  • Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours will be charged.

  • All sessions are confidential unless I have concerns about your safety. This will be discussed during your assessment session.
