FAQs

Is it confidential?

Confidentiality is very important and a big part of the therapeutic process. Your privacy is respected and prioritised. However, there are limits to confidentiality if your safety or the safety of others is compromised. This might lead to your next of kin or GP being contacted. This will be discussed in more detail during your first session.

Will I be judged?

Not at all! I offer an empathic and non-judgemental space for you to explore at your own pace, what might be challenging for you. We all struggle at times with our internal worlds and experiences we have had. Hopefully the process will encourage you to be compassionate towards yourself and how you are coping.

I don’t even know whether I need support, I just know something isn’t feeling good?

Its very common to be unsure about whether you want support. That is why I offer a free consultation service. Get in touch and you can discuss more what it is you might be struggling with. If I am not the right support then I can signpost you to other possible options.

How many sessions will I need?

This is a difficult question to answer without more information. This will be discussed in your consultation or assessment session. It will depend on what the presenting issues are and what goals you have. Some people try a short term therapeutic process to see how it fits for them, and then continue with more support if it feels worthwhile.

Do I have to know all the answers?

Not at all! There are ‘no right answers.’ Talking is exploring to begin with, simply a space to understand what you are experiencing and what you might want to be different.

What if I want to stop?

Sessions are usually booked one at a time, and at any point you want to stop there is no obligation to continue.
